Other Events

For many years we've partnered with a broad coalition of schools, parents, the Miami Police Dept., and other organizations on this twice-yearly celebration of safe routes to school. Most of the public and private schools in Coconut Grove are participating. Each time we do this event, we see noticeable declines in motor vehicle traffic in Coconut Grove. If your child's school or your neighborhood school hasn't notified you of the event, please contact the principal or PTA to make sure the school is part of it.

Bike and Walk to School Day on Thurs., Oct. 27, 2022, was a huge success. Numerous schools throughout Coconut Grove participated. Big thanks to the WalkSafe and BikeSafe program at the University of Miami Medical School for their guidance and support. Other partners include the City of Miami Police Department and GroveConnect.
