Bike/Walk to School Day, Mon., May 17, 2021. We are reaching out to all public and private schools in Coconut Grove and will provide information and resources to make this event the success it has been in past years. Sun., Oct. 14, 2019, 9:30-11:30 a.m.: Bike tour of the Shenandoah neighborhood. We partnered with the Underline Cycling Club and Dade Heritage Trust.
Sun., April 28, 2019, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.: Earth Day at the Barnacle--bike decorating for kids, pedal-powered smoothies.
Sat., May 5, 2018: Jane's Walk, a walk through Center Grove honoring the memory of urbanist Jane Jacobs, 10-11:30 a.m. Begin at Cocowalk. The title of the walk: "What is the Grove becoming?" We offered 10 free copies of Jacobs' book The Death and Life of Great American Cities to participants.
Sat., May 12, 2018: Bike ride with Miami Mayor Francis Suarez on the Commodore Trail, beginning at 10 a.m. at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Dr., Coconut Grove. The ride ended at the Barnacle with a free picnic.
